SiS Open Mic @ Ulysses

Now that the holidays are past, and you have a little free time, come out and play some music for your friends and family. We are having an open mic at Ulysses Restaurant and Lounge in SeaTac, Tuesday, January 7th from 7 to 10. Signup begins at 6:30.

There is a tuned piano available for your keyboarding enjoyment, and the stage, while not elevated, is spacious enough for duos, trios, etc. The restaurant is open to minors until 2 AM (unlike many establishments that kick the kids out at 9) so if you have been wanting to play for young relatives, this is the place.

Our inaugural open mic was a success so we are doing it again this month. There are precious few opportunities to play in the south end and we can really benefit from making this a regular event. Bring your friends, family, and fellow performers.

Hi Griffin, I am a newbie and would like to get over stage fright. I have accompaniment on MP3. Would the restaurant have speakers to plug into, or can I bring my own speakers, or is it a piano and guitar only venue? Thanks so much! PS my songs are in Chinese, but I could translate breifly. :-)

Hi Griffin, they are my songs. I had Chris Klimecky and a few others make accompaniment arrangements for me. That's why they are recorded. I don't play an instrument unfortunately. This is why I am always looking for musicians who could help me realize my vision with my songs. Thanks!

Just be sure to bring an appropriate cable that will plug your device into the mixer board. The board will accommodate microphone plugs (XLR) or instrument cable (1/4"). I cannot accommodate RCA plugs or mini microphone jacks, so if that is what you have, find an adapter to one of the aforementioned formats.
