What instrument(s) do you use to write your music?

What comes easier for you - words or music?

It's a trade off. Once the "story" starts to come together, then the words come pretty easily. I always feel like the music side of my songs is not as creative or original as it could be simply because of my own limited background in the folk/Americana genre. If it has a G, a C, or a D chord in it, I am all over it!

Do you imagine yourself or someone else performing your songs?

Me. I do this for myself because I have a story I want to tell. I have only written 3 or 4 songs but the longer I sing them, the more I start to imagine others performing them.

Are you interested in collaboration or finding a songwriting partner?

On some level yes. I am mainly looking to broaden my skills, my scope, and to open myself up to the process more.

What areas of your music experience are you wanting to improve? e.g. songwriting, marketing, networking, recording, airplay, gigs, etc.

Songwriting, arranging, recording and how to share my songs with others whether at open mics or through recorded mediums

Just moved to Seattle in the fall of 2012 and want to meet other people who play and instrument, sing and/or like to create music. I am not a pro nor do I have aspirations but music is a big part of who I am & want to connect with others in same vein
