Free Basket Workshop at Sonoma County Museum

The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria Basketry Group will be spending a Saturday afternoon with the public to demonstrate and discuss the revitalization of Coast Miwok basketry. Participants will learn and practice traditional weaving techniques with natural materials through hands-on activities. Tribal Elder and basket weaver, Joanne Campbell, will be discussing her love for basketry and her success in bringing culture back to her Tribe, along with sharing photos of baskets she viewed in museums in Europe.

This is a free event but we ask that you register in advance as space is limited. Venue
