That's what I thought!!!  BUT I have heard lately about "illegal"" photo taking in other countries!  Tourists being tourists and offending people and/or breaking the "law".   I've been thinking about going to the park and taking photos of kids at play, merry-go-round, people fishing and boating.  Do I need to be careful?  I guess I'm one of those people who wouldn't even care so I never gave it any thought.  If where you shooting happens to have my kid in it, well, that's just cool!  =)

You don't need a release form if your not going to use the picture for commercial purposes.  And it's perfectly legal to take photos of people when you're in a public place.

Thanks, Remy so sorry I missed you all last night; cant wait to see all the photos posted. And sorry I interrupted your visit with your mom (Im sure that was you there when I called <vg>). Alas, soon no more missed events!

Does one of our professional photographers in the group have a release form he/she could share for reprinting? Ive run into this situation on a couple of occasions when on my own, Ive seen an amazing photo opportunity but hesitated because I didnt have a release form with me and rather than get into a discussion or look unprofessional, I opted to forgo the photo and look elsewhere.

Thanks!

Marlene Hudson
