Fort Point, Golden Gate Bridge

Another picture that only an engineer will appreciate. That's a whole bunch of rivets in this photo. Incredible what they accomplished with the tools and techniques of the 1930's.

    I like your framing : the tight isolation of the subject without distracting side elements and the simulated film rebate. Looks like they added a few extra rivets and cross beams for luck / design margin ;-)

    Definitely Steve. As a Welder/Iron worker myself I appreciated every bit of it. Not all of em are rivets. They must have put the extra plates on later with bolts. Nonetheless its a great photo! Love it.
