Creekside Hike at Sugarloaf (moderate/easy)

Hi All,

This will be a somewhat different hike than we normally do in Sugarloaf; meaning we won't be attacking the tallest peak in site! This will be a 5 to 6 mile hike that meanders along the creek, across meadows and perhaps up a small ridge as well. We will start the hike at around 11 and finish by 2 or 2:30 at the latest. Bring a lunch and maybe something to share (a little wine?) since we will be stopping for a picnic along the way. As for all the Wanderer's hikes, you need to be responsible for yourself and willing to have fun.

We will meet on the side of the road just as you turn onto Adobe Canyon road from Hwy.12. This way we can load up the cars before entering the park since there is an $8 or $10 fee per car. Please arrive by 10:45 since we will be leaving promptly at 10:50 to head up to Sugarloaf. There should be ample parking on both sides of the road.

Thank you Andy for setting up this hike on such a lovely day! It just seems to get better at every event getting closer to old and welcoming new members. One happy hiker, then off to the wine taste, you got to love Sonoma county

Sorry I flaked. Had to have some emergency tree work done in my back yard today.

I loved it, but it wasn't as easy as it was promoted to be. There was some good uphill and stair-climbing going on that was better exercise than I expected.

We have to leave as soon as the hike ends so we will be parking at Sugarloaf. Just let us know where to meet...

I'd like to carpool to the hike and then to the Naked Wines event. Anyone from Sebastopol want to car pool?

I'd love to do this hike if I could find a ride from downtown Santa Rosa. I'd pay gas if anyone would be willing to pick me up and bring me home.
