Lots going on at WildLake Ranch in Napa County on this day, including another one of their brief lake-side orientation meetings in the afternoon.
But let's start with the good stuff:
Visit the beautiful Dunn-Wildlake Preserve to help with habitat restoration efforts. Be prepared with close-toed shoes, long pants and long sleeves, sun protection and drinking water. This event may include a hike of up to two miles. Meeting location information will be sent once you register. The event will run from 8:30am-12pm.
If you would like to access the Dunn-Wildlake and Duff Ranch Preserves outside of LTNC guided events in the future, you can opt to stay for the visitor orientation which will follow the work day from 1pm-2pm.Sunday, October 13, 2013
If you want to participate in this you must register with the Land Trust of Napa County prior to RSVP'ing. (Once you get to the Land Trust site, click on Activities, then Field Trips, to get to the Oct. 13 event):
If you would like to access the Dunn-Wildlake and Duff Ranch Preserves outside of LTNC guided events in the future, you can opt to stay for the visitor orientation which will follow the work day from 1pm-2pm.
Again, you must pre-register with the LTNC here before you RSVP:
Field Trip Registration for both events will close at 2pm, 3 days prior to the event.
Depending on how many volunteers they get, I may lead a hike either in the morning or afternoon for those Wanderers coming for the orientation. But, for this occasion, priority will be given to those who also come to volunteer. Wanderers who have been to this property know what a treasure it is. Now it's our turn to give back a little.
Details on when and where to meet will be given to you when you register for either the volunteer day or orientation meeting.
