A Sunday afternoon trip will allow everyone to accomplish things in the morning and still get in some good exercise and time with friends. We will walk up and beyond Lake Ilsanjo by way of Canyon Trail. This week, we will continue beyond the lake on the Richardson Trail to the Burma Trail where we will head northward. Then back west along the Live Oak Trail where after a short walk we will descend down the Rough Go Trail. This trail does have altitude gain of about 800 ft and some rocky parts on the trail that will require you to watch your footing. Our hike will be approximately 6 miles. We will steadily ascend the on the Canyon Trail but as we reach the lake, the trail is fairly level until some up hill to the Puma Trail. We will descend back down on the Rough Go Trail on rocky terrain. It is very helpful to have hiking boots.
