It's been a while since I posted anything, so I thought I better get on it. The intent of this meetup is to experiment and have fun. I'm thinking of this as a Thanksgiving day warm-up; without all of those pesky relatives who might diss your choices in food and wine. Here is how it works: I will provide a Turkey (brined and BBQ'd), along with basic mashed potatoes and gravy. You will provide a food item to complete the dinner and a bottle of wine that you think will compliment a turkey dinner. The food item can be an appetizer salad, side dish or dessert, or even an alternate entree. You are encouraged to be creative here and try something new and interesting. The same goes for the wine. If you are stuck on what wine to bring you can always ask Google, the folks at the Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, or any other local wine shops. Don't worry if you aren't big on cooking, you can always buy something from your local bakery or gourmet market.
Because of the limitations of the facility (my house) I will need to limit the number of attendees to around 25. I will give a priority to those members who have attended at least one previous group event and will limit one guest per member. You will be asked upon RSVP'ing if you have ever attended one of our events. If you are new, you can email me with a compelling reason why you want to go, and I will consider it.
I'm sorry for the lack of events lately, but I promise to pick up the pace. I will be posting the Winter Wineland event in the next day or 2 and I strongly encourage all of you to suggest wine themed events to me.
