Here are the details for the Wine and Food Affair event. Most importantly, you need to buy your tickets as soon as possible; since this event usually sells out early. Tickets are available at: http://wineroadwineandfoodaffair.eventbrite.com/
They are $50 for Sunday only or $70 for Saturday and Sunday (with tax and fees, $56 and $78). The official Meetup is for Sunday, but I bought the 2 day pass because it was only a few bucks more. I know it sounds kind of expensive but you pretty much get lunch and most of dinner plus really good wine. When you throw in a fun time with your Meetup buddies it becomes a killer good deal. For me, the limiting factor on how many wineries you can go to is based on how full you get.
When you buy your ticket, you have to choose a winery to start at. I chose Hudson Street Winery in Healdsburg because of easy freeway access and lots of other wineries nearby if they sell all of their tickets. Here is a map of Healdsburg tasting rooms: http://www.wineroad.com/2011/pdf/Healdsburg.pdf Please choose a winery in the First St. area (lower right of map) if Hudson is no longer available. We will meet at 10:45 each day in the small parking lot off of First St. If the weather is nice, look for my light green, ’62 Pontiac Tempest convertible. If the weather sucks, look for a Meetup sign and a red balloon on a way less exciting Ford.
After you have purchased your ticket, please add to the comment section if you are doing 1 or 2 days and if you have a favorite winery you wish to stop at. If you have a 2 day ticket, you also have the option of doing your own thing on Saturday, then joining the group on Sunday; just let us know. Please remember that this is a rain or shine event, but no matter what the weather is we will have a blast! If you would like to form carpools, you can use the comment section to help facilitate that; but as organizers of this event we hold no responsibility in this area.
