This workshop is exclusively for photographers using Instagram.
Are you using Instagram? Would you like to do a better job with your posts? Then this "advanced" workshop is for you.
We're teaming up with Graeme Roy (g_wah), who is one of the top photographers in the country and has a huge following on Instagram. For a while he was getting over a 1000 new followers a day. If you follow the Instagram news feed you might have seen a feature on Graeme and his work, or maybe you saw the photo spread in McLean's Magazine featuring his work around Toronto. When Graeme's not drifting the streets of Toronto shooting with his phone, he works as the Director of News Photography for the Canadian Press, Canada's news leader. His staff of photographers covers the major news events around the world.
For this workshop we'll be photographing exclusively with the Sony QX lens camera. This is the perfect camera to complement your smart phone and create outstanding Instagram work.
What to bring. Your smart phone with the APP Playmemories Mobile Installed, and Instagram. The QX uses a Micro-SD card. You'll need to bring your own if you want to take the photos home at the end of the event, or use our card and just download images onto your phone.
Since Sony is paying for this meetup, only Sony QX lens cameras can be used at this event. If you have a Sony QX bring it along with extra batteries and memory cards.
We're shooting rain or shine, so if the weather turns ugly, bring an umbrella. We'll be walking a fair bit throughout the downtown so wear comfortable clothing.
This event is exclusively for those shooting with the QX10 or QX100 lens camera. If you don't have this camera I can bring one, you just have to let me know. If you own your own, then also let me know so I can keep track of how many I have to borrow from Sony.
Attendance and "No Shows". If you can't make the event please cancel 24 hours before the start of the event. If you fail to cancel you'll be recorded as a "No Show" and if this continues, you'll be dropped from future events.
