Still Photography Workshop - The Magic of Photography Part I

Did you get a new Sony Alpha, RX or NEX camera for Mother's Day or Father's Day  and now want to learn more about using it?

Sony of Canada has put together a workshop for first time photographers. This is the very basics of using your new digital still camera and is ideal for those photographers who are just starting out. If you have a new camera, this is the workshop series for you.

We're going to look at some great photographs from the greatest photographers in the history of the art.

We're going to go over all the features of the Alpha and NEX including setting the ISO, setting the white balance, and setting the exposure, with the end goal of getting great images and enjoying your camera more.

This is a three part series. You need to sign up for each evening separately and we hope that you will enjoy all three parts of the program. Bring your Sony Alpha or NEX camera each evening as well as memory cards.

There is no charge for this workshop but you must be a Sony camera user.

Very helpful. I'm looking forward to the next one. I would love to see a landscape session.

It was exactly as described: an intro to photography. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. A big thank you to Sony for putting on this great event at no cost to customers. Hoping to get some further instruction at the next two meet ups.

Very interesting, hands-on training on the ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed and DOF would be nice. Or try to have more involvement from the audience… :-)

Deep regrets - staffing issues and work won't make it in time. Very disappointed! But I look forward to a future meet-up with Sony (landscape hike!). Thanks for hosting.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
