We are in uncertain times as the world faces a global pandemic. Although we've been unable to meet in-person, we are still working hard to help women and girls succeed and overcome these additional obstacles. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Over 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories volunteer time and contribute financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls. The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best.
Our club, Soroptimist Int'l of Rancho Cordova & Gold River has served the community for over 10 years! Currently we have club members who live in Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Gold River, Rosemont, and Mather. Annually, our club provides: A Live Your Dream Award grant for a single head-of-household mother returning to school • “Comfort Kits” and “Comfort Kids”—totes and backpacks that contain full-size essentials for women, and women with children who are escaping a violent environment • And so much more!
