Soroptimist is an international volunteer service organization for business and professional women that works to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimist International of San Francisco is part of Soroptimist International, comprising almost 100,000 members in about 120 countries around the world. The heart of Soroptimist's mission is to "make a difference for women" through volunteer service to the community. Projects are carefully chosen to address challenges unique to today's women. Sample club projects include providing minority women with routine medical care, funding domestic violence shelters, sponsoring career development programs for teen mothers, and tutoring women in literacy and basic job skills. There are eight Soroptimist groups in the Bay Area.
The Soroptimist organization provides an enriching environment for women to develop friendships while experiencing the satisfaction of their collective efforts to improve their community.

Our December meeting is a Holiday Party!
Usually Soroptimist International of San Francisco meets for dinner on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
Traditionally, our "dinner" and program for December is a Holiday Party where we work on a Service Project. This year we bake cookies for the girls incarcerated at the Youth Guidance Center. Read more
