The mission of the South Austin Business Association is to promote commerce in South Austin by creating and maintaining a strong alliance of business owners who are committed to returning value to the community through charity, fellowship and employment and being a voice for business owners on issues affecting it members and the quality of life in our community.
SABA meets weekly at 8am on non-holiday Wednesdays at Casa Garcia, but occasionally has members only events and happy hours in addition to the weekly meeting. The meeting usually consists of a topic or a guest speaker. The networking/socializing begins at 8am, and the formal part of the meeting usually starts by 8:30am.
It is free to attend the weekly meeting, but you are on your own for ordering/paying for food from Casa Garcia.
Membership dues are $50/year for individual members and $250/year for corporate members (which includes one individual member, with each additional member being $25 per). Dues are collected on an annual basis.
There are no restrictions on number of persons from particular industries, and there is no requirement for members to attend the weekly meetings.
