Doodlez, Noms, & Drinks

So, I found an epic and awesome fun place to draw, eat, drink and have a wonderful relaxing day drawing.

San Pedro Market Square is located at the corner of San Pedro and St. John street, downtown San Jose - right off Santa Clara street next to the HP Pavilion/Caltrain.

FREE PARKING on San Pedro in the public garage!! Sundays, free parking all over on the streets!

Inside this location there are about 6 eateries where you can get Crepes, custom made Wood Fired Pizza, Vietnamese food, Bistro Sandwiches, Mediterranean (Falafal, Lamb, Baba Ganoush) and a Sushi place too! They also have a full service Espresso Cafe and also a huge bar with great Margarita's and cold beer.

There are also other places to grab some food to go on San Pedro!

OUTSIDE - is a huge courtyard with wonderful tables, live music and planter boxes with flowers and trees. I took a few pictures below that show it off a bit more, but let's just say it is a truly relaxing and wonderful place to be outside in the great weather, eat great food and draw.

BRING:

sketchbook

sunscreen

pens/pencils

monies for noms and drinks

we will sit at two of these benches:

The San Pedro parking garage was only $5 for Sundays (flat rate) but as the signs all said, you only have to get validated at the bar and it was free.

oddly enough, San Pedro Parking garage was taking $7 to park, so that's no good on a Sunday... fortunately I found free parking elsewhere

Hehe, eating and drawing concurrently is messy, unless olive oil and smudges are your medium of choice. I'll stick to drink-n-draw. #pints

Are you all meeting/sitting in the courtyard or indoors?

    June 30, 2012

  • Elizabeth K.

No...it just means we can eat as well as draw.

A nom is food... like "om nom nom" (the people make when chowing down on delicious foods)
