Hiking at San Antonio Open Preserve

Hi everyone!

Join us for some hiking at San Antonio Open Preserve! The route is easy-moderate (4.6 miles, 600ft) in terms of difficulty.

Along the way, we will be checking out Deer Hollow Farm near the beginning of our route. Deer Hollow Farm is a working farm with a cow, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, other animals, and an organic garden as well as numerous ranch buildings.

Where: Montclaire Elementary School main entrance

Parking: The school has a small parking lot and some of the surrounding residential streets allow for parking. Come early to find a spot and to enable enough time to arrive at the school's main entrance.

What To Bring: Bring your water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and a long-sleeve if you wish,

Route: (for those of you that are interested) Montclaire Elementary School > head West onto St Joseph Ave then South until it becomes Lower Meadow Trail > stop at Deer Hollow Farm > Rogue Valley Trail > Ravensbury Trail > Mora Trail > back to Lower Meadow Trail > St Joseph Ave > Montclaire Elementary School

Group sizes: Due to park restrictions, we will be hiking in groups of 10-15 people. We will determine this the day of.

Lunch: Join us for lunch immediately afterwards at Chick-Fil-A (550 W El Camino Real Sunnyvale, CA 94087)
