I actually researched the rules and learned to play on my own. I have played on the cell phone and computer numerous times - and got pretty good at it, but I have never played Euchre with physical cards. I am very interested in changing that. Card games on the computer are nice, but it's just not the same.
Canasta is one of my favorites along with its variations. Every now and then I enjoy cribbage and spades. I enjoy most rummy games. I don't know if this qualifies as a card game, but I have been interested in Mah Jong lately. It's like a rummy game played with Chinese tiles. I like the game itself, but unfortunately it's often played as a gambling game - and that isn't what I'm looking for at all.
I live in the South Bay, so I'm there more often. I do have business in the Peninsula and I get around, so it wouldn't be a big deal to have some fun in Menlo Park or San Mateo.
I am very interested in playing some classic card games. I belong to one other games group - it's a good group, but there's not much interest there in classics like Euchre.
The duration of the event was better than it was last time. Some of us had trouble finding each other in the crowd and confusion.
