Let's play a round of golf and just have a good time! We did one about 4 weeks ago and it was fun. It is about $10 per round of golf (I think weekdays are a $1 off from the weekend prices). We will split in groups of 4-6 (whatever is the max # of names per score card). If we get a large group, we may have to split the group in half (half on one course, other half on the other course) so that we can finish in a decent time.
For those who don't know Golfland USA, there are two 18-hole mini-golf courses. Supposedly, there is an easy course & a hard course. I had tried putting on both courses and would vouch that both courses have their challenges. I can say the volcano-style and water-obstacles would be the ones that will try your patience on both courses. Per the golf rules, you have up to max 6 attempts to sink your shot into the hole.
Don't forget something to keep you warm. Bay Area summer nights mean some sea breeze. Scheduling this at 8pm so that everyone who rsvp'd 'yes' will have time to finish up their work and/or dinner before coming to mini-golf.
How to find us?
Let's meet near the ticket area. I think there tables across from the ticket window. Look for a group of people milling together. You may have to ask if they are part of the SBIO meetup. Also, most of us look like our picture unless you have a blank '?' that meetup.com use as default.
Golfland is located on the El Camino Real and Wolfe Road with parking and entrances on the Wolfe Road and El Camino sides.
