Title :

DVS – A website configuration and content platform based on MongoDB.

Description :

Two years ago Dealer.com deployed a new website configuration management system based on MongoDB. We have been running this system in our live production environment since then and have continued to learn and refine our solution. This session will look at our experiences with MongoDB. We will start with the process we used to select MongoDB, the project's lifecycle up until the live deployment, and then what we have learned and changed over the last year. We will also take a look at what our plans are moving forward, and some other places that we have deployed MongoDB within our organization. To give an idea of scale, our current system supports configuration and content for over 15,000 customer sites with thousands of revisions per site and an on-disk size of just over 300GB

Just curious, what's the web platform for the DVS app?

Java 1.6 on Jetty. The content management system itself is a proprietary application that I'll go into some details of during the talk.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
