Waterdog Lake Park - Belmont Open Space

** MOVED TO MAY 18 **

We will meet at 10:30 AM at the Cul du Sac at the end of Carlmont Drive.

This ride is open to advanced beginner riders and better, we will ride a more relaxed pace. Please read the entire ride description before signing up.

Tires roll at 10:35 AM or sooner if all "Yes" RSVPs have arrived.
Please be there by the meet time. We don't want to leave without you.

This is a fun place to ride with some awesome trails. You have read the past ride reviews, this is a fun group!!! As always, we will never leave anyone behind, take needed breaks, and regroup often. This should be about a 2 hour ride.  Pizza and re-hydration after the ride at Toto's Pizzeria, 1250 El Camino Real @ Ralston, Belmont, CA 94002

Difficulty (1 easiest, 5 hardest):

Technical Rating: 3-4 -- Narrow trails with steep cliffs, high penalty for mistakes on tricky downhill sections.

Stamina Rating: 2 -- Repeat short steep climbs. Elevation gain is only a few hundred feet.

From Southbay area:

Hwy 280

I suggest taking 280, as the traffic on 101 and crossing El Camino on Ralston can be extremely heavy. (weekdays)
280 North to 92 East
First exit, Ralston, turn right.
Right on Lyall way (Near the bottom of the hill)
Left on Lake Rd.
Right on Carlmont Dr. Follow to the end and park in the Cul de Sac or parking area.

Hwy 101

101 freeway north, exit onto Ralston Avenue Exit 412.
Turn left onto Ralston Avenue.
Turn left onto Alameda De Las Pulgas.
Turn right onto Carlmont Dr, at the "stop" sign turn left to stay on Carlmont, follow Carlmont to the end and park.
The trail head starts here.
Travel time from Santa Clara is about 30-40 minutes.

Rain 2-3 days before the ride will cancel this event, as the park tends to dry out slowly.

Will post a weather update by 9 AM

Hey DJ, I probably will cross paths with the group on the trail. Don't want to RSVP since I am adding the Waterdog loop to my Saturday ride from my house and I don't know exactly I will be on the trailhead. Cheers!

As a reminder, RSVPing Yes to this ride and not showing will get you bumped to the wait list of future rides you sign up for. Please be considerate and only RSVP Yes if you're positive you're coming to ride.
