Arastradero Sunday Ride - Moved From Saturday February 27th

Moved from Saturday Feb. 27th due to rain closing the trails. Please change your RSVP as needed. Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, meet in the parking lot by the information sign. Arrive early as the parking lot does fill up. You can also park on the side of the road, watch for the no parking signs, don't ask how I know about them. This will be about a 60 - 90 min ride. Bring water and be sure your bike is ready to ride.
Tires roll at 11:15 AM or when all "YES" RSVP's arrive. Ride Details Difficulty as noted in my Mtn Biking guide book is: "Easy to moderate, with smooth wide trails for beginners and a few short single-tracks". On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - I will say this may be a 1-2. Rain will cancel. Check this listing the morning of the ride. I will post by 8am a weather update if we need to cancel due to rain or the trails being closed.
Great day to ride - lots of sunshine today!!! ***Please remember, a helmet is required for all our rides.***

Kinda short due to all the upper trails still being closed. Still great seat time with a very nice group to ride with.

Funny seeing mud fly off your front tire traveling faster than you.

Another well organized ride with some good folk. Thank-you very much. I loved the look of the meadow side with all the vibrant green grass. Thanks Ray for organizing this for us.

Nice figure-of-eight route on both sides of the highway; keeping us down in the low country. Big group of riders all keeping pace. Nice day to get out on the MTB.

If it does not rain before Sunday morning, the ride should still be on. Will update Sunday morning by 8 AM... Russian Ride is on Saturday only.

Is Russian Ridge the alternate ride if AP is closed?

This is from the city of Palo Alto web site, Seasonal trails in the Pearson-Arastradero Preserve close any time rainfall exceeds one-half inch over 48 hours or 1 inch in seven days. Trails are then evaluated for reopening after 48 hours of no rain and reopened only when dry.
