DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON GOING TO LUNCH WITH US IN BOULDER CREEK!
Ok, I have told alot of you about a place that has the most awesome fries around, now is the time to see for yourself. This is a must stop place whenever I get the chance. I will buy the first basket! It is only about a 15-20 minute drive down highway 9 from the Gap.
We will meet at 9:45 AM in the parking lot at the corner of Highway 9 and Skyline Blvd for the ride & then do lunch after.
Tires roll at 9:58 AM or sooner if all "Yes" RSVPs have arrived. Please be there by the meet time. We will leave without you. This is a fun place to ride with great views and awesome trails. You have read the past ride reviews, this is a fun group!!! As always, we will never leave anyone behind, take needed breaks, and regroup often.
RSVPing YES for this ride and not showing or not going to lunch with us will get you moved off the list on the next ride you do wish to go on. Please be courteous and drop out early enough to give the more reliable riders a chance to adjust their schedules and attend.
This will be about 2 - 3 hour ride to Peters Creek Loop and back.
Ride Details: I do plan on doing the complete Peters Creek Loop. Difficulty as noted in my Mtn Biking guide book is: "Moderate, modest climbing - nothing long. Ragged singletrack requires skill, steep desent not for the timid." On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - I will say this may be a level 3 in places. A bit tougher than Russian Ridge. On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - this will be a LEVEL 2.5 Ride.
From Palo Alto: Page Mill Road to Skyline Blvd. Turn left onto Skyline Blvd. Follow this south until the stop sign at highway 9. The parking lot is on the left after you cross the intersection.
From Southbay area: Saratoga Blvd through Saratoga, it becomes Highway 9 uphill toward Skyline Blvd. At the stop sign at Skyline Blvd. turn left and into the parking lot on the left.
If you're not sure where you are going or think you will be late, please leave earlier. It is not fair to have everyone else wait while you get ready to ride.
Please remember to wear a helmet, bring water, and check that your bike is ready to ride. Also remember to carry an extra tube and a chain master link with you that fits your bike. It's ok if you need help to repair it, you will have the items needed to keep your ride going.
Remember, all riders need to be members of Meetup.com & South Bay Mountain Bike Group. Guests are no longer allowed. All riders need to RSVP as a member.
As event organizer, I will reserve the right to change your RSVP should I feel you should not be on this ride.
