Wilder Sunset Ride with Michelle

This will be an advanced beginner to intermediate ride.

Meet at 3:00 PM in the main parking lot. There are restrooms there also. We will then ride to the tunnel under Highway 1. If you park in the Wilder Ranch parking lot, there is a fee to park.

I recommend to pay the parking fee in support of & our use of the state parks.

Tires roll at 3:13 PM or sooner if all YES RSVP's are present. Please be there by the meet time, we don't want to leave without you!

Ride Details

Difficulty: "Easy to moderate, with smooth wide trails for beginners and a few single-tracks. On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - I will say this may be a 2-3 in places.

Where: Wilder Ranch State Park, Hwy 1, just north of Santa Cruz.

Remember, all riders need to be members of Meetup.com & South Bay Mountain Bike Group. Guests are no longer allowed. All riders need to RSVP as a member.

Rain will cancel. Check this listing the morning of the ride. I will post by 1 PM a weather update if we need to cancel.

***Please remember, a helmet is required for all our rides.***

Great to ride with this group. Thanks Nancy for the help, and Naomi for casting your spells. Yeah that climbing one needs work - I could have used a little help, as always. ;-) Happy Halloween everybody!

First, I take FULL responsibility for the gorgeous weather we had for today's ride. I've been working on that spell all week. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Second, did you notice that we were injury-free today? You guessed it - that was me also. I cast a protective spell on our group to guard us against harm. Unfortunately, the magic that didn't work so well was my levitation spell. It didn't seem to make the hills any easier to climb today. At least not for me. I'll have to keep working on that one! ;-)

Thanks, Ray and Michelle, for hosting another awesome SBMBG ride! Love riding with you guys! And thanks to everyone else for sharing a magical afternoon!! This is really a great group to ride with!!

Looking forward to a fun group ride! Do you think this could be done with a cross bike?

@Helene, it may be ok, however this is a "mountain bike" group not a "cross bike" group.
