Rocky Trail Practice at Santa Teresa County Park

We will meet at 11:15 AM in the parking lot area at the Stile Entrance.

The ride will be advanced beginner, a Level 2.5 for this one.  I need to practice riding rocky stuff, and the Stile Ranch and Rocky Ridge trails are the perfect places to do it.  We'll go at a casual pace, and take time to repeat sections of the trail when we are in the stubborn "I'm gonna ride this!" mood.  Be ready to ride at least one long, steep hill, as well!

RSVPing "YES" for a ride and not showing will get you moved to the wait list on the next ride you do wish to go on. Please be courteous and drop out early enough to give the more reliable riders a chance to adjust their schedules and attend.

This is a fun place to ride with some great views of the south bay. You have read the past ride reviews and seen our pictures, this is a fun group!!! As always, we will never leave anyone behind, take needed breaks, and regroup often.

I got to cancel, sorry for the late notice. My shoulder met a tree at Tamarancho this morning and I now have a nice, slightly swollen, black and blue bruise as a reward. I probably could ride, but I'm gonna take it easy...have fun!

Just to be clear, everyone, I'm planning to go UP the Stile Ranch trail, and DOWN the Rocky Ridge trail (Andy mentioned riding up Rocky Ridge in his comment, so I wanted to clarify.) I expect to "session" (try and try again) about 3 or 4 sections of the Stile Ranch trail, and I expect to hike-a-bike (walk the bike) over one section of Rocky Ridge on the way down. We won't be breaking any speed records, but we will get to ride a LOT of rocks!

Lot's o hike-a-bike for me today, but it was fun and challenging, and left me with a smile on my face. I'm looking forward to riding here in the spring when the wild flowers are in bloom.

Too much travel and stress lately, so I'm going to stick closer to home this weekend and take it easy. Hopefully someone else can take my spot. Have fun on the rocks! :-)

    Nancy,
Sorry for the late cancelation, but something came up! I hope to go on this ride sometime in the future, I really wanted to try this!

I really wish I could make this one, but I will be out of the country. I have been working on climbing up Rocky Ridge and can now clear all but four sections.

Andy, I wish you could make it too, because then you could show us how to do it! Safe travels!

I'm not too keen on that climb, but I do like the challenge of it...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
