Boggs 3 Day Race Weekend

Three Days o’ Racing

The optional stage race will happen again in 2014. Changes are in the works. Stay tuned for more info!

Hill Climb

The Boggs Hill Climb starts at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 2. It’ll be longer than 2013 and will stray from fire roads onto singletrack. Expect about 20 minutes of grunting and heaving whilst making really ugly faces. You’ll want to line up before 5:00, naturally. We’ll have signage and announcements directing you from Boggs Race HQ at Calso Camp to the start line.

8-Hour Race

The centerpiece of your race weekend is, as ever, the Boggs 8-Hour Race. We’re up to year 9 on this thing and it’s getting more rad every time. Expect around 1,100′ of climbing on an 9 mile course with lots of way zippy, buffed-out singletrack alongside nice, steady climbs. It changes a bit every year, so cherish the variety we’ll be injecting into your life. People do it on CX bikes, people do it on DH bikes, but this is classic mountain bike terrain, so draw from your quiver accordingly.

Super D

Come Sunday, we let gravity do most of the work. The Boggs Super D will be run on the most vertically agreeable section of trail in the forest. You’ll be in charge of getting yourself up to the start (and back from the finish) by 9:00, at which time we’ll be running riders down at 30 second intervals, which will be signed from the Boggs Race HQ at Calso Camp and accessible via dirt road.

holy kittens on a breadstick! (can I mix those metaphores) an EIGHT HOUR RACE? Part of me wants to puke just READING it. how many other brave SBMBG riders are taking up this challenge? If I know someone else I know will be on the route, I'd feel a little better.

I can pull about 4 hours if I had a dedicated team member (and I bring LOTS of ibuprophen)
