Arastradero ~ Casual After Work Ride

  • Mar 12, 2014 · 5:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This will be at a casual pace... for everyone to get out to ride.

It will be about 5-6 miles, 75-90 minutes.

Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, meet in the parking lot area.

RSVP priority will be given to current members in good standing.

Arrive early as the parking lot does fill up. You can also park on the side of the road, watch for the no parking signs. You may also wish to park at the Page Mill/280 park & ride lot, then ride to Arastradero.  Bring water and be sure your bike is ready to ride.

All riders must be members of & South Bay Mountain Bike Group.

Tires roll at 5:40 PM or sooner if all YES RSVP's are present. Please be there by the meet time, we don't want to leave without you.

Ride Details: Difficulty as noted in my Mtn Biking guide book is: "Easy to moderate, with smooth wide trails for beginners and a few short single-tracks. On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - I will say this may be a level 1-2. This is a great place for a good workout.

*Please remember, a helmet is required for all our rides.*

Rain may cancel the ride, I will post a weather update by 2 PM.

Hope that your shoulder's feeling better, and hope that we'll see you on another ride soon. :-)

You picked a good time of year to try Arastradero, Naomi ... it's green and pretty. Thanks everyone for a fun workout!

Kelly, we keep the pace casual -- this is not a "workout" ride, and we won't leave you behind. If you know how to shift the gears and use your brakes, you'll be fine. Let's ride!
