Waterdog Lake Park - Belmont Open Space

We will meet at 5:30 PM at the Cul du Sac at the end of Carlmont Drive.

This ride is open to advanced beginner riders and better, we will ride a more relaxed pace. Please read the entire ride description before signing up. 

Tires roll at 5:35 PM or sooner if all "Yes" RSVPs have arrived.
Please be there by the meet time. We don't want to leave without you.

This should be about a 1.5 hour ride.

Difficulty (1 easiest, 5 hardest):

Technical Rating: 3-4 -- Narrow trails with steep cliffs, high penalty for mistakes on tricky downhill sections.

Stamina Rating: 2 -- Repeat short steep climbs. Elevation gain is only a few hundred feet.

Important Information regarding your safety and gear:

The ride leader reserves the right to refuse any rider for any reason from participating on this ride.

Required gear; helmets, gloves, eye protection, and closed toe shoes are required.  Make sure your bike is ready to ride on arrival.  Bring a spare tube, bike pump, and chain links.

Directions:
From Southbay area:

Hwy 280

I suggest taking 280, as the traffic on 101 and crossing El Camino on Ralston can be extremely heavy. (weekdays)
280 North to 92 East
First exit, Ralston, turn right.
Right on Lyall way (Near the bottom of the hill)
Left on Lake Rd.
Right on Carlmont Dr. Follow to the end and park in the Cul de Sac or parking area.

Hwy 101

101 freeway north, exit onto Ralston Avenue Exit 412.
Turn left onto Ralston Avenue.
First left onto Lyall way after the light at Alameda de Las Pulgas.
Left on Lake Rd.
Right on Carlmont Dr. Follow to the end and park in the Cul de Sac or parking area.
Travel time from Santa Clara is about 30-40 minutes.


Rain 2-3 days before the ride will cancel this event, as the park tends to dry out slowly.
