Wilder Ranch ~ Multi Level Ride

Looking for a fun mellow Wilder ride, come on out. Time to hit the trails at Wilder again. We may break into smaller groups if needed. Not a beginner ride location.

Meet at 9:30 AM in the main parking lot. We will then ride to the tunnel under Highway 1. If you park in the Wilder Ranch parking lot, there is a fee to park.I recommend to pay the parking fee in support of & our use of the state parks.

Tires roll at 9:44 AM or sooner if all YES RSVP's are present. Please be there by the meet time, we don't want to leave without you.

RSVPing YES for a ride and not showing is not cool. Changing your RSVP after they close will not give another member a chance to get on the list and is the same as a no show. Please be courteous and drop out early enough to give the more reliable riders a chance to adjust their schedules and attend.

Ride Details:

Difficulty: "Easy to moderate, with smooth wide trails for advanced beginners and a few single-tracks. On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - I will say this may be a LEVEL 2.5 ride.

Where: Wilder Ranch State Park, Hwy 1, just north of Santa Cruz.

Remember, all riders need to be members of & South Bay Mountain Bike Group. Guest are no longer allowed. All riders need to RSVP as a member.

Rain will cancel. Check this listing the morning of the ride. I will post by 7 AM a weather update if we need to cancel.

***Please remember, a helmet is required for all our rides.***

This was a super fun ride! I loved the gorgeous views of the ocean and the fun singletrack on the way down. Thanks for showing us a good route, Ray.

Just a reminder, this is not a beginner level ride. We are going to climb all the way to the top of Wilder to start the ride and get the downhill rush all the way down. However we will climb at a mellow pace and regroup often and take a break at the tables near the top, bring a snack to enjoy. I have some new trails to show you also. There may be areas with poison oat as it is that time of the year. Let's Ride!
