This will be at a casual pace... for everyone to get out to ride. Beginners are welcome!
It will be about 5-6 miles, 75-90 minutes. There will be several uphill sections (usually shorter than 1/4 mile), but nothing too steep.
Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, meet in the parking lot. Arrive early as the parking lot does fill up. You can also park on the side of the road, watch for the no parking signs. You may also wish to park at the Page Mill/280 park & ride lot, then ride to Arastradero.
Bring water and be sure your bike is ready to ride. Also remember to carry an extra tube and a chain master link with you that fits your bike. It's ok if you need help to repair it, at least you will have the items needed to keep your ride going.
All riders must be members of Meetup.com & South Bay Mountain Bike Group.
Tires roll at 3:40 PM or sooner if all YES RSVP's are present. Please be there by the meet time, we don't want to leave without you.
Ride Details: Difficulty as noted in my Mtn Biking guide book is: "Easy to moderate, with smooth wide trails for beginners and a few short single-tracks. On my scale of 1-5, 1 being easy - I will say this may be a level 1-2. This is a great place for a good workout.
*Please remember, a helmet is required for all our rides.*
Rain may cancel the ride, I will post a weather update by 2 PM.
