Giving it your best shot ! Open day at Marlow rifle & pistol club.

Hi, have you fired a .22 rifle or would you like to learn ? Well Marlow Rifle & Pistol Club have 2 open days a year and next saturday is one of them. For the princely sum of £5, you get 10 shots at a target, plus all the safety instruction needed to participate. So if you'd like to tick something off your personal bucket list or take the first steps in learning a new interest. This meetup is for you. As you can see from the photos, you're never too young or old to learn. With that in mind, you can bring your kids, nephews, nieces etc but the club does insist on parential supervision. Co hosting with me is Sally, a member of the Marlow club as well as S.B.S. So she knows more than me if you have any questions. Sallys' mobile number is[masked], mine is 07525537973. Hope you can make it. Stu.

    Hello all,
So sorry I couldn't make this meetup as I had work commitments to fulfil, not good for a co host, but I had no choice unfortunately.
I see from Stuart comments that a good time was had by all!
I find shooting good gun and challenging competing with you self, if nothing else.
I've only just started shooting following a previous interest day they had, it's a friendly club if anyone fancies taking up a new hobby.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, see you soon.

What a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday!! Really enjoyed to shooting - wasn't overly sure to start with to be honest - but it was good fun - and maybe I've found something I'm good at. The company was entertaining - thank you all very much I had such a laugh - it was really nice to meet you all - hope we "meet up" again!!

Well James, I will be contacting the club to thank them and if they are agreeable, I will be repeating their next open day, which I believe is in october, as a meetup. Keep your eyes on the site for the next week or so. Best wishes, Stu.

The best meetup I've been on for ages. I brought the best/worst out of Alex lol. So interesting, such fun and the scores ? Well out of a hundred in ascending order Bridget 53, Kim and Steve scored 78 and Alex 82. What about your glorious leader ? Well I scored an awe inspiring/jaw dropping .....38. Will do again in october....if they let us back.

Hi Stuart - too short notice for me since I'm already booked up for tomorrow but otherwise would be very interested - will you run this again? Thanks. Imelda x

Hi Justine, first of thank you for RSVPing for the golf. With nearly 2 months to go, the meetup is nearly full. My gut feeling re the shooting is that the H&S talk will go on for an hour or so, for insurance purposes and that may prove to much of a squeeze. Their website adventises 2 open days a year and the next one is in november. Perhaps that will be more suitable for you. Best wishes, Stu.

Hi Justine, I've done one of these before, there could be some waiting around but if you start early the H&S talk will be around 15 -20 mins, then a few shots and that's it, but I don't think you could guarantee to be back in Beaconsfield by 11.30. It's good fun if you can get in and out quickly, the waiting is boring!!!
