OK.... The membership has spoken. Here is our next meetup, as decided upon by all of you (us). Please note that not only have we changed the game for the meetup but the date also. Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone who already said yes, but this new meetup will work better for the group.... Let's Play!

From the game website:

"Trapped inside this great game, you'll find a hair raising, spine-tingling mystery.
Set in the small Transylvanian village of Transylville, our story revolves around the recent murder of local beauty queen, Virginia Vestalata. Her killer sits amongst a strange group of friends, gathered together for an anniversary celebration. That person, however, has every reason to keep their involvement a secret. As a relative of one of those present, Virginia was protected by the group's binding 'Oath of Allegiance', but it would appear as if someone...has broken their bond! If those present can deduce the murderer correctly, the guilty party will receive their just deserts, and Virginia's soul will be able to rest in peace. However, if the group fails, the killer will escape prosecution, and Virginia's soul will spend an eternity in torment, endlessly searching for justice, whilst trapped in the barren 'Netherworld'. ~ ''The Land of Lost Souls'' ~ A desolate place between this world and the next.
Set in The year is 1856, and we find ourselves in a remote Transylvanian market town: Transylville. Its inhabitants range from mainly agricultural laborers to landed aristocracy, but they share their village with several strange characters of a seemingly more sinister nature. The local murder rate is far higher than should be expected, but the lack of evidence at each new crime scene usually leaves the population bewildered, if not slightly suspicious of their strange co-habitants, that is, the guests assembled tonight. This evening's party has been arranged to celebrate the 20th Wedding Anniversary of Gomez and Morticia von Adums. However, the festivities have been overshadowed by the recent death of local beauty queen, Virginia Vestalata, who was pushed to her death from the village church bell tower only two days ago. The townsfolk are outraged and, once again, the finger is pointed at the usual suspects: those gathered for tonight's festivities. In amongst the tangled webs of deceipt which wove their way through Virginia's short but troubled life, we find a none too surprising array of motives for murder, amongst the assembled guests: All eventually rear their ugly heads in a night most will wish had never happened. Guests should try to unravel the threads running through the evening's rich tapestry, until they finally arrive at the killer's door. "

Food: We will be contacting you regarding how we will be handling dinner

Costumes: Most, if not all, will be in costume.

Awards: Usually given to best costume and best player/detective.

Notes:

  • Please be sure that you can attend when accepting. It makes it real hard on the rest of the party when the murderer cancels...
  • We will be taking a waiting list in case we have cancellations (life does happen).
  • If you are on the waiting list, you might be invited anyway. Sometimes there is a last minute cancellation and if not you might enjoy meeting the people and observing some of what is going on ...

Great food, company, costumes and lots of laughs. The scripts were funny, certainly, but I did like the previous 'free form' style more so than the scripted type of game. It was still plenty of fun!

Can those of you who did not receive the character assignment email (from sept) or the email regarding food please email me back with another way that i can send you this info? Keep in mind that meetup sends emails to whatever email address you registered under. If you used your work email (like I did) this may have ended up in spam or you may never have received it.

    Thanks for your help!

The time is near! I received the boxed game from England last week. I hope that everyone has their brief character introductions and is ready to go! Unfortunately there was not a more in depth description of the characters available until we are ready to play. Now it's time to discuss food and drinks! I think the way we set up the the food and drinks worked great the last time for this larger size group. If we ever have a game that is for 8 or less I think the formal dinners are great, but my dining room isn't big enough for 10. So please everyone post here stating what they would like to bring. We will provide a special Halloween cocktail concoction as well as beer and wine. I will also send this out to the rsvp's in case you miss this update.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
