Meet in the Lookout carpark, which is the second carpark you come to after the entrance off Wellington Rd (the carpark just before the walkway across the dam wall). We will meet at the information board at the furthest end of the carpark.
I haven't hosted a dog walk at this park previously, so it will be an exploratory one! A couple of areas of this park are barred to dogs (the dam wall and the kangaroo viewing trail), but there should be plenty of other tracks for us to explore.
Cardinia Reservoir Park is a great place for a family day out. The open parklands, picnic and barbecue areas and native bushland of Cardinia Reservoir Park are abounding with native wildlife and flora.
Have a picnic among the trees. Watch the Eastern Grey Kangaroos feeding at dawn or dusk, or basking in the sun along the kangaroo viewing trail. Enjoy panoramic views of the park from the many lookouts and vantage points or take a walk across the dam wall.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm not sure what facilities are provided by the park, so be prepared to take dog waste home as there may not be any bins available.
