Jells Park Walk

Meet on the grass area across the pathway. For those unfamiliar with the park, the first carpark is "U" shaped (as you enter the park, there are some parking bays to your right - go past them, and take the first right into the first U-shaped car park). Once parked, head for the bottom of the "U", cross the walking path and we will be on the large grass area.

We will leave the meeting point at 10am. This walk takes about 30 minutes to walk from the meeting point to the cafe. We'll stop at the cafe to allow the dogs a break (and the humans too.. plenty of time to buy a coffee) - water bowls for the dogs are usually supplied by the cafe.

Once all people and dogs have had a rest and a drink, we'll head back around the park and return to the meeting place.

Please note: there are NO bins provided in the park. You will need to clean up your dogs mess and take it home with you

Ok, I can't make it on Sunday but as the majority seem to prefer Sunday then I've changed it. Eve, I hope you can still make it, and I'm glad that Missy is feeling better :)

Thanks. Monty is very disappointed to miss out this weekend. I'm meeting some friends at Jells tomorrow for a BBQ/picnic lunch, so we may cross paths!!

    • Kerryn

Ha! That is a coincidence. Enjoy your picnic. It should be a great day for being out.

Ok great. Sounds good. Im a little confused about where the meet up is. I got to Jells Park every week, but I park in the carpark right near the cafe. Is that the same kind of area or is there another entrance altogether?

    March 28, 2014

    • Julie

Hi S M V, there is another entrance on the other side of Jells Park, off Ferntree Gully Rd. There is only one entrance on that side, so hopefully you will find the group okay. We then walk from that entrance through Jells Park to the cafe, and back again.

Hi, we would love to come. This is our first walk with you guys. Both my little cavvies are rescues and a little scared & nervous around new people/dogs. Are there any big dogs going this Sunday?

    March 28, 2014

    • Kerryn

Hi there, Firstly, your girls are just adorable! My Raffy is a rescue too. He is about the size of a cavalier, very excitable around other dogs but totally friendly. We'll keep our distance until your two get used to him but once he gets a chance to sniff and say hi, he calms right down and barely acknowledges the other dogs as we walk along. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Kerryn

I am free on Sunday so if more people are available Sunday, should we change it to Sunday so more people can come?

Hullo thought Missy might enjoy a walk with some friends as she is much better these days, hopefully the weather is not too bad Eve

Look forward to seeing you both. :-)

    Hi S M V,

MeetUp charges a fee to the organisers of each group. The $1 per walk is to help cover the cost of that fee, which the organisers pay up front.

    Hi Radmila,

Sorry, I did see your preference for a 9am walk. I personally prefer to keep the start times consistent at 10am so that we don't have members getting confused and arriving at the wrong time, thereby missing out on the walks. I personally would find it difficult to make a 9am walk with a toddler to get organised as well.

    March 26, 2014

    • Radmila K.

I won't be able to make it then

      March 26, 2014

  • Radmila K.

Is it possible to change the walk time to 9am?

    March 26, 2014

  • S M V

Hello - am new to the group - just wondering what the $1 per person us donated to?
