Homebrew Competition: Irish Dry Stouts, Irish Red Ales/Lagers, Open Cat.

You may come to the competition as a guest taster/open category judge for $10.00.  You do not need beer experience for this, you simply have to cast your vote for favorite beer!  Brewers need only pay entry fee.

Rules:

Entry is $6.00 per beer entered.  More than one beer may be entered by the same brewer.

If purchased at the Bx Beer Depot, entry recipe will be discounted 10%

Irish Stouts and Irish Reds will be judged based on an Expert panel decision.

All other entries will be judged by tasters present at event.

Entrants must bring at least 1 gallon of each entered brew.

Entrants are to arrive at the competition by 12:45pm on March 11th in order to set up.  Please don't come late, it may affect the amount of votes you receive.

There will be 3 winners.  2 from the BJCP pool and 1 from the open taste pool.  Prizes include ... Cash.  Cold and hard.  We will be handing out doorbusters and consolation prizes as well.

PLEASE NOTE:

Panel Judging will not be done for anything other than Irish Stouts and Red ales.  By entering for panel judging, you are exempt from tasters choice prize, and vice versa.  Our judges will rate your beer compared to the appropriate style and offer advice/ point out any observed imperfections.  If you want constructive criticism on your brewing process this will be the route to take, if however, you just want to see if people like your brew, enter open choice.
