Game Night/Potluck

Hey,

Lets get together and have a games night and pot luck.  I was able to reserve the meeting room at Total Wine and More in Plantation.     Food and drinks are allowed.

I have invited my other group, South Florida Fun and Games to join us.    We will be playing a murder mystery game, just like The Black Pearl event.   Once again players are needed.

6-7, meet, greet and eat

7-til  play Sartor and any other games you wish to bring.

At 9:30 will be a complimentary wine tasting.

The Sticky End of Sartor is a 11 player game.    Read below and if interested in a part, email me your email address and which character you are interested in playing.

Everyone is invited to attend and help solve the mystery!!!!!

The Sticky End of Sartor A puzzle from prehistory The Sticky End of Sartor

  • for 11 players

SCENARIO

In those enviable days when mammoths roamed the earth, a peaceful mountain village was shocked by a brutal murder.  The victim was an envoy from the chiefdom beyond the great forest. His name was Sartor, and he had arrived just a few weeks ago.

Yesterday afternoon he was found prostrated on the ground, felled with a blow from a stone axe which still sticks out behind his back.  The villagers at once summoned the village Bard, who worked through the night to solve the case.  Consulting all the old epics, and a good number of detective stories to boot, he decided that the suspects could be narrowed down to a list of eleven.

They have now assembled to try and work out which of them did the dastardly deed. Little do they suspect how many guilty secrets the village contains ...

THE CHARACTERS

The Chief: compensating his inadequacy with hypocrisy, the village Chief is a robust character who has presided over the doings of the village since time immemorial. Sartor was to become his son-in-law, what a sad coincidence that he should have died! If you believe in coincidence, that is ...

The Stonecutter: bulky and virile, the Stonecutter is one of the few people in the village to have an alibi for the afternoon of the murder. That in itself is a pretty good reason to suspect him, not to mention that Sartor was killed outside the Stonecutter’s house ...

The Hunter: a man of few words and much action, the Hunter would have had no qualms about killing anybody and anything, if it suited his needs. But it remains to be seen whether it would have suited him to kill Sartor. And in any case, he is of course as innocent as a babe ...

The Apothecary: when not away on mysterious trips, the Apothecary mixes herbs and potions. Very popular in the village, she has good reason to be annoyed with Sartor. But not, perhaps, enough to kill him?

Sartor’s maid: dainty and happy to please, the Maid arrived in the village with her master, and now faces an uncertain future. She had been with Sartor for years, why kill him now? Especially since there were secret plans afoot …

Amazon: this fiery lady is an envoy from the faraway kingdom of the Amazons. Sartor’s neighbour, she would have no reason to kill him. Providing of course that everything she has said is true …

Belle: daughter of the village Chief, and Sartor’s fiancée since the engagement party two nights ago. Who dealt her this cruel blow? Or is it not as cruel as it seems ...?

Hermit: happiest when in her comfortable cave, the Hermit is gentle and wise. Quite the reverse of her killing Sartor, he almost tried to kill her! But thankfully he didn’t, so she is available to preside over the enquiry. What grisly facts might she bring to the table?

The Guard of the temple precinct: solid and quizzical, not much gets past the Guard, who knows more than many would like. Too bad Sartor was murdered somewhere the Guard was not responsible for. Or was it so arranged?

The Merchant: endlessly charming and hopelessly corrupt, the village Merchant is rumored to have sold his grandmother into slavery. But these days his interests seem to be more ethical, would he really want to soil his good reputation with murder?

The Keeper of the village Museum: learned, patient and earnest, the Keeper’s role in the community is of unsuspected importance, for there are powerful old traditions at work. Does this intriguing character sit at the heart of a village intrigue?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
