Wow...how did I get myself into this one?

Hi everyone, my name is LaWanda and I became a member of the Melting Pot when I first relocated to South Florida. Marc, Courtney, CJ & Paule were wonderful organizers and I am sorry to see them go but I did not want to group to fade away. The Melting Pot was my source for meeting new people, having a good time and staying active. So I have stepped up in the interim to keep the group alive. I hope you will stick around to have some fun with us.

As a group we will attend great restaurants, nightclubs, cultural events, sporting events, weekend travel & concerts. Everything is not for everyone and everything is not going to be free but I can guarantee you a warm and friendly environment to meet new people and have a good time. The majority of our events will be in/around Broward County (with exception to weekend travel opportunities).

During the reorganizing period, I will weed through the hundreds of members to see who is actually still interested in being a member and then start planning some events. Look for our first event in February 2010. In the meantime, I'll be looking for some assistants. If you have that social flair, great organizing skills and enjoy working with people, please email me.
