Improvement thru Movement is a fun workout that features steps from all kinds of dances: Salsa, Cha Cha, Swing, Jitterbug, Charleston, Polka, Shag, Disco, Cajun, Clogging — you name it and we do it! We even explore a variety of line dances like the disco Bus Stop, Cotton-Eyed Joe, Electric Slide, simple folk dance steps and the Wobble.
This class is designed to accommodate anyone from non-dancer to dancer, as it's focus it to improve coordination, stamina and to tone muscles. It's a work-at-your-own-level hour of enjoyable movement, including a musical workout with small weights for arms. Warm up uses principles and movements from Yoga and Tai Chi. Stretching and cool down concludes the class.
Wear comfortable clothes for ease of movement. Non-grip tennis shoe, flat leather sole shoe, jazz or ballet shoe.
It will be either $12 or $15 depending upon the number of people attending. Please bring cash or check.
