South Jersey Animal Advocates (SJAA) is a non-profit local animal rights advocacy group located in Atlantic County New Jersey. We believe in the sentience of non-human animals, and that they have the ability to experience suffering, fear, loss and pain, as well as joy, relational attachments, and well-being. We believe animals are not intended for human exploitation and should not be subjected to any form of suffering or captivity for our entertainment, sport, food, or clothing. To that end we support and promulgate direct action to stop animal exploitation and raise awareness. In doing so we will: promote education re: animal cruelty issues; encourage ethical eating; and raise our collective voices in direct or indirect action for animal (both domestic and wild) causes.
