Here is the info on the book I suggested: The Red Tent by Anita Diamant

The red tent is the place where women gathered during their cycles of birthing, menses, and even illness. Like the conversations and mysteries held within this feminine tent, this sweeping piece of fiction offers an insider's look at the daily life of a biblical sorority of mothers and wives and their one and only daughter, Dinah. - more at Amazon.com -

I actually used a book from Anita Diamant to plan my wedding! It's called "The New Jewish Wedding." I may look into this one, thanks, Elizabeth!

I cannot wait to meet all of you. I would not mind having a meet and greet at my home maybe we can come up with some ideas for a gathering.

Just to confirm for this book discussion we'll keep it at Red Robin, but for future book discussions I think it would be great if some members didn't mind hosting them at their house (not saying you have to, just would be great if anyone wanted to). Kelley has offered her house and I will offer mine too if people don't mind driving down here.

I tried answering Amanda's notification about a possible location. I am not sure it was received. So I shall post one here as well.

I am fine with a change in venue to a home rather than Red Robin... in fact in might lend itself better to a lively discussion rather than a restaurant.

I can bring a savory homemade bread with olive oil for dipping or a couple types of biscotti. Just keep me posted.
