Welcome to the South Metro Creatives Group!

A recent study by the Colorado Council on the Arts found that Colorado’s creative sector is the 5th largest sector of our State’s economy in terms of employment, employing over 122,000 creative professionals.  According to the study “Colorado is a magnet for creative talent, ranking 5th among all states for concentration of artists. Only New York, California, Massachusetts and Vermont have a higher concentration of creative talent. Colorado ranks 2nd in concentration of architects, 7th in concentration of writers, designers, entertainers and performers, and 8th in concentration of photographers.”

Purpose of the Creatives Group

The membership of the South Metro Chamber is a microcosm our State’s creative economy with a wide variety of creative individuals and firms.  This group was formed to:

·         Foster collaboration and networking among our creative enterprises.

·         Showcase our creative talent.

·         Assist in business development and growth.

·         Highlight the importance of the creative sector in the Chamber’s Economic Development efforts.

·         Provide informative and entertaining activities / speakers  for the group’s members.

·         Provide advocacy for the Creative Sector

Who is this group for?

Our definition of a “creative” enterprise is very broad.  Individuals or firms involved in the following areas are highly encouraged to join. If you don’t see your business listed and feel you belong, please contact the group’s organizers.
