The South Metro Denver Chamber Non-Profit & Business Partnership purpose is to connect non-profit organizations to businesses in the South Metro Denver region in an effort to build a stronger community.
All private, public and non-profit Chamber investors are encouraged and welcomed to join the Non-Profit & Business Partnership group to participate.
Our group leadership and initiatives are shown below:
Chair- Steve Bocher, Catch Fire Marketing
Our four major initiatives are:
1. Promoting Non-Profit Organizations to the Business Community and Connecting Non-Profits and For Profits- Sandra Coen, SheShe's Corner Upscale Resale Boutique, Chair
The goal of this group is to fully and intentionally utilize the varied communication and event resources within the chamber to provide exposure to the 70 plus non-profit chamber investors. Including but not limited to: Web, print (e.g. Chamber's magazine), on-site TV, electronic communications, social media, and meetings/events (Unpluggeds, etc). This group will work closely with other groups to promote events and activities.
And to create model programs that will facilitate short and long-term partnerships between non-profit and for profit businesses and the promote these opportunities to the investors of the chamber.
3. On Going B.I.G. (Be Involved Give) Program- Julie Madden, South Suburban Parks Foundation, Chair
Serving and supporting shouldn't just be a one day affair! An extension of the B.I.G. Day, this group will be organizing and implement a series of service and educational programs throughout the year designed to support and enhance connection between non-profit and for profit organizations.
3. B.I.G. Day (Be Involved Give)- Laurian Horowitz, Colorado Life Lessons, Chair
The B.I.G. Day is the chamber's annual initiative to promote non-profits and service to the community through service projects at over a dozen non-profits on a Saturday morning in April. In just three years, over 10,000 volunteer hours have been provided for area non-profits.
4. Non-Profit Symposium
In November of 2013 this event debuted to a "sold-out" gathering of 100 people. The event, designed to provide education and networking opportunities to non-profit staff, Executive Directors and members of boards of directors was a great success.
