The Economic Development Group (EDG) is a regional organization of business and community leaders working together to enhance the economic climate of South Metro Denver. It has its own volunteer base, board of advisors, and a dedicated staff. All of the EDG's investors are members of the South Metro Denver Chamber.
Through monthly investor meetings, economic development projects, and annual events, the group is dedicated to sharing information and taking initiative on issues that affect the economic infrastructure of our community. For a current list of EDG members, please click here.
Economic Development Group Priorities:
Business Retention and Expansion (BRE)
Our most valuable economic asset is our existing businesses. As such, we are constantly surveying our existing business leaders in the community to assess and explore opportunities that will result in a sustainable and healthy economy.
Business Attraction
Through regional partnerships, trade-missions, and site-selection efforts, we recruit primary employers and provide support to new companies making the transition to South Metro Denver.
Economic Development Advocacy
Through collaboration and advocacy, the EDG supports efforts that improve the business climate and economic development infrastructure of our community.
