Welcome!

The purpose of this group is allowing parents of gay and transgender (GLBT) children to make connections and start building a stronger local community both for the kids and the parents.

Group sharing is expected to include discussion on raising and supporting gay child. Also here in the South Metro (Dakota & Scott Counties) there doesn't seem to be much available locally for gay and transgender kids. We will spend time discussing to better define what is missing and needed. We could then identify actions to take to better support the needs of our gay and transgender children right here in the suburbs.

This is not a PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) group. But participation in PFLAG St. Paul/Minneapolis is also encouraged.

If enough solid interest is identified, we could approach PFLAG St. Paul/Minneapolis about holding meetings locally.
