Git and GitHub for .NET Developers

Git and GitHub are wildly popular right now with all types of developers. I want to discuss how git (and GitHub) can be used in the .NET world. This will also focus a bit on SDLC practices

I am not clear as to what the plan is here. Is the idea to do this online only and not at 3thought in Plymouth?

    January 30, 2014

    • Barrett S.

I'd prefer if everyone met at 3Thought... but for those that can't make it, we'll be doing screenshare and audio over Skype. Make sense?

      I'll be there!

I'm thinking about doing this via Google Hangout. Any thoughts or other suggestions?

    January 29, 2014

    • RT C.

Do the hangout - but make sure you stage it. Need good set and lighting to make the webcam work. Nothing elaborate, but it can be tough to simultaneously service a real-time audience in the room and a webcam audience. Nature of the medium.. the webcam has to be given the prime viewing spot.

I did some testing with a few people lastnight. Skype audio and video were much better. Would anyone be opposed to that?

Looking forward to a good group. In addition, we might do this a GoToMeeting session if there's enough interest.

Plymouth is a hike for me, but if the content and skill level is applicable, which it looks to be, I will gladly come.
