If you're new and would like to learn, please be sure to call Rock Spot at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a belay lesson during the meetup time.
NOTE: If taking a lesson for the first time, please set aside 30-45 min. for the lesson during the Meetup.

All climbers will need to fill out a waiver and pass a belay test upon initial visit.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to use this wall for carpooling, pre-/post-dinner plans, etc. etc.

Greetings. So I joined this meet up a while back with the intention of fully embracing it. Now that things are a little more manageable, I can continue where I left off. I've climbed with an auto belay system I want to drop the safety net and move up to the big leagues. The site that this group climbs, do they teach proper rock climbing?

You can call ahead a book a proper belay lesson, mention you're with the meetup group for a discount. Or just show up and climb with the group for a while. There are plenty of experienced climbers who are willing to belay while your still learning.

Hi Chris. There's always plenty of people, never a concern for any odd man out. If you already know how to belay, just tell the workers that when you sign in and they'll simply have you show them. Once they witness you go through the motions, you'll be all set.

Hey guys I am new to meet up and wanted to see if I could make it out for tomorrows climb. I usually go to another gym and know how to belay and tie my knots, do you think they could do a quick check and let me climb? Also, I assume we need an even number and wouldn’t want to be the odd man out?
