Nisqually NWR Birding Walk

Phil Kelley leads a Birding Walk at Nisqually NWR every Wednesday morning at 8 am, which is always well-attended. A great way to meet other local birders and get familiar with our favorite local wildlife refuge!

Meet at the Nisqually Visitor Center. $3 daily pass or federal wildlife refuge pass required.

From Olympia, head north on I-5. Continue past Lacey. As the freeway dips into a valley, you will see an exit for Nisqually. Take a left at the bottom of the exit, go under the freeway, then turn right into the refuge. You will need to pay $3 or have a national parks pass. No dogs are allowed, even in the car.
