University Place Spring Flower Show & Plant Sale

This is a fun, local Flower Show & Plant Sale being held in University Place's Homestead Park. Everyone is welcome to bring friends, family, guests - just make sure to note number when signing up.

Admission is Free!!

Held on the last weekend in April at City Hall, the Spring Flower Show and Plant Sale celebrates the colors of spring in a two-day event sponsored by the Friends of Homestead Park and the Peninsula Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society. This annual event is the kickoff to the spring gardening season and, while it includes a wide variety of roses, fuchsias, dahlias and ferns, it is also one of the largest Rhododendron truss displays on the West Coast. If the final days of winter are dragging you down, let this explosion of color help lift your spirits and be a part of something beautiful. So mark your calendars, the University Place’s Spring Flower Show and Plant Sale is something that you are not going to want to miss!

This was small but well organized event! Loved all the plants they had and came up with a fabulous mosaic idea for garden rocks to try when we meet at my house later this summer! First time I actually participated in the voting process for the gorgeous flowers and photos inside one of the buildings! Was there until 1:00 pm, but only saw one member - hope everyone enjoyed!

I missed seeing everyone, but did get by to buy some fabulous plants and shrubs.

Not bad for event that was free. Since there wasn't a planned meeting place, I just went on my own.

It was a beautiful park and the plants were very healthy. I didn't know the meeting changed to 12pm so I missed the rest of you. Oh well, my yard will appreciate the new additions!

Time is flying by so fast! I can't believe Saturday is nearly here again. The remodel is kickin' my behind so I'm not sure I'll have the energy to attend tomorrow. If not, I hope y'all have a wonderful time.

I'm going to try to be there. Again, I have a conflict with my Hawaii Club. I postponed the board meeting because I was in Hawaii last week.

I will be going an hour earlier to this event at 12:00 pm instead of 1:00. It is a small park, so should be easy to find us! If you can't make it until 1:00 pm, no worries...this park is worth seeing!
