We'll walk through Fort Steilacoom Park, Western State Hospital grounds and past historic old Fort Steilacoom buildings, used by the army from 1849 - 1868. Fort Steilacoom Park was once a large farm where crops were grown and animals raised for food for Western State Hospital. We circle Lake Waughop and pass a large cemetery used by the hospital in the past. And their great dog park.
AVA walk Y1996. Dogs on leash with cleanup fine. Lunch? We'll decide along the way.
