Take a Road Trip - Traditional Volkswalk in Cashmere, WA 10K/5K

Trail Interlaken Trailblazers is hosting a walk to honor Bavarian Volkssport Association. Enjoy a walk through the town of Cashmere, WA. Cashmere is located in the geographical center of the state of WA. This "American small town" is noted as "Tree City USA". Be sure to stop for samples at the Aplets and Cotlets factory.  You may walk a 6K or 10K walk route with a rating of 1B.  Route is through the Cashmere country side, orchards, along the river walk in Riverside Park finishing with a trip through the central business district. 

A presentation from ESVA to honor the Barvarian Volkssport Association will be made at 12:00 PM. 

YR walks in Leavenworth and Wenatchee will still be open this weekend and there is the Octoberfest in Leavenworth to enjoy.  Great opportunity to make a weekend of it.  The Bavarian Volkssport Club is closing at the end of the year and some of the YR's will continue under the Yakima Sun Striders Volkssport Club.  Donations from this event will go to Yakima Sun Striders to help them maintain these wonderful walks in Central Washington.  Make your plans for a wonderful fall week-end in central WA.

Award:  IVV Credit $3.00.  October Volkssport Patch will be available.  Limited quantities. Free walkers are welcome but all walkers must register and carry a start card. Restrooms at start and along the route. 

Miscellaneous:  Restrooms available at start and along the route.  Dogs are welcome but not in buildings.  Leash and scoop rules apply.

Directions: American Legion Hall   401 Sunset Way.  From US2 exit to Aplets Way.  Continue on Aplets way .4 mi to Sunset Way.  RIGHT on Sunset Way to American Legion Hall on your left.
